Wedding Tears of Joy

When I first met Kiley I met a beautiful bride excited about her upcoming wedding day.  Andria Lewis Events, LLC was her wedding planner and Andria, Kiley, and I met at a Starbucks to discuss our wedding videography services.  At the meeting I learned all about her fantastic wedding. She told me of the plans she and Lofton had to celebrate their special day.  It came time for me to present Message in a Bottle's work.  I explained our packages, our style, and our vision.  She was onboard and we were on the same page about how we wanted to capture the memories yet still be invisible at the wedding.  Our company has worked with Andria Lewis Events many times, so Andira's comfort and familiarity with our services made her bride more at ease.  Finally it was time to show her some video samples of Message in a Bottle Productions' work.  I picked one of my favorite wrap up videos set her up with my laptop and pressed play.  She watched intently as the couple in the video prepared for their big moment, and then celebrated their love.  By the time the bride walked down the asile in the video Kiley was in tears.  These were happy tears.  They were tears of joy.  She was so excited about her wedding that when she thought about picturing herself in that moment the emotions were overwhelming.  We all had a nice sweet laugh after the video and yes, she booked our services.  I was excited to get to be a part of a day that meant so much to a bride.  As I prepped my team, I made sure (just like I do every weekend) that we remember that we are capturing priceless memories for our clients and to always make sure that we do our best.

Kiley's wedding was this weekend and WOW was it great!  Kiley looked stunning in her dress and Lofton was a handsome and proud groom.  You could just see the love between these two.  The wedding went off without a hitch and the joy had been captured.  It was such a pleasure getting to edit what I knew was going to be such a special wrap up video.  I wish I could be there when Kiley watches it and finally sees herself as the beautiful bride that she was.

I know I have said it before but I LOVE MY JOB!!!  Thank you Kiley and Lofton for letting us be a special part of your wedding day.  Also thank you to Andria Lewis Events for putting on an amazing wedding and for introducing us to Kiley and Lofton.

Check out their wrap up video and see the love for yourself.

Their love brings tears of joy to my heart!

A Fantastic Wedding!

Awesome .... Incredible ....  Phenomenal .... these words just don't seem big enough to describe a wedding we went to recently.  Carra and Robert got married at Union Ave. Baptist Church and then had a fantastic reception at Minglewood Hall.

With at least 10 bridesmaids (maybe more!) and an equal number of Groomsmen this wedding was NOT lacking one bit in support of family and friends.  At the rehearsal dinner almost every single one of them explained in great detail about how special this couple was and how positively they had affected their lives.  When Dad got up to talk about his daughter you could feel the power of love in the room, which quickly broke into laughter as he presented Robert with a new wardrobe of Memphis T-Shirts in a tongue in cheek attempt to get the couple to move a little closer to home.

The wedding day although lavish in design was simple with the girls doing each other's makeup and hair, and the boys watching the PGA Championship and Nascar.  The designs were beautiful, the colors elegant, and the brides dress was stunning.  However, no one doubted for a second that this couple needed anything other than their love for each other.

The ceremony went off without a hitch, with both mothers' eyes streaming tears of joy.  The room was electric as the bride walked down the aisle with her father in a moment they had both dreamed of for a lifetime.  The sweetest moment of the ceremony came when the Minister pronounced the new couple husband and wife, and let Robert know that he could now kiss the bride.  After a beautiful kiss Robert leaned in and kissed Carra on the forehead.  The gesture showed his love and caring spirit and the whole sanctuary was assured that this marriage would last forever.

The reception had an awesome band from lower Alabama.  The band brought the funk and fun to the party for sure.  The Bride and Groom were introduced from behind the stage and proceeded into the most epic first dance I have every witnessed!  These two loved having fun with each other and they were some comfortable with themselves that no one else in the room seemed to matter.  The Bride and her father were quickly joined by the rest of her family on the dance floor, and the groom and his mother cut quite a rug!

The reception had food and fun from all different icons of Memphis and the guests from near and far enjoyed quite the party!  When it was all over the bride and groom waited to leave until they could thank their parents and share a special goodbye before exiting through their family and friends who were armed handful after handful of confetti!  As their Taxi Limo left the parking lot everyone had a warm feeling in their heart of the magic of love that they had witnessed that day!  Thank you to the Bride and Groom for letting us be a small part of their wedding day, and for offering us the opportunity to capture such loving moments on video!

DentSim Dental Simulator

Last week we LiveStreamed 3 days of coverage for Dentsim a Dental Simulator at
the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis, TN.  Dr. Scott Hollis spent those three days telling clients around the world about the positive aspects of teaching on a DentSim unit.  It was incredibly interesting to see how the unit worked and how the students benefitted from the hands on training.

Above is a quick video we did to kind of wrap up the week for them.  Hope you enjoy!

Belly Dancer!

So Amara has been the belly dancer at 2 of our recent weddings.  One of the cool things about our job is that we get to capture the memories of a couple on their special day.  Sometimes they have very cool things planned like Grizz shows up, or a drumline, or a solider returns to see his sister getting married.  We have captured all of these events and more.  Twice in the last 20 weddings Amara has performed her belly dancing skills during the reception.  One, this girl is awesome!  She comes in with a great attitude and really spices up the party, but second she has skills!  Check out 2 of her performances we recorded at the Tower Room.

How cool is that right?!

Aren't they adorable!!  They saw this video for the first time at their wedding.  Tears of love fell all around the room!  It was a beautiful moment!

We're Back!

Hi Message in a Bottle Blog readers!  We are sorry that it has been so long since we have posted anything, but we have been REALLY busy.

First the World Championships of Cheerleading at the end of April went GREAT!  We took our team down to the Walt Disney World Resort and provided a TON of video services for the World Championship of All-Star Cheerleading and Dance.  The venues were great, the athletes were amazing, and our footage from the event is breathtaking!  We can't wait to dig into it and create a ton of new videos for the upcoming year!
Here is our commercial for AllStar Dance that played on ESPN!

Then as soon as we got back to Memphis it's WEDDING SEASON!!!!  Game on!  We have gotten to be a part of soooo many beautiful weddings over the past month and have a lot more coming in the month of June.
